Brandon

Brandon, also known as OZ, a Cancer from the wild expanse of Alaska, began his musical journey at 14, drawn to the hum of possibility and the whisper of untold stories. His earliest memory is of his mother leading him to a concert in a farmer’s field, where the music swirled in the wind like forgotten melodies. Though not from a musical family, he found his voice through the piano, sax, and guitar, with the guitar now his heart's true voice. His creative process is instinctual—humming melodies, letting go of lyrics that don't fit, shaped by a childhood marked by a speech impediment. “I was born with an oversized tongue,” he says, “it made me quite shy.”

Each song he creates is an evolution, the music of today a reflection of the artist who no longer exists. “My favorite song is always the one I’m creating next,” he reflects. His performances are humbling, and collaborations with others are the heartbeat of his music, finding new depth with every jam and recording session. The most rewarding part of his journey? The friendships forged through music. "No man is an island," he says, “I’m excited to be more fluent with guitar and different artists. Always learning.”
